The language files included in the current piCal package is for Iberic Portuguese (Portugal). Brazilian Portuguese has many differences I won't quote otherwise I'd be writing until tomorrow, but the main ones is word uses, way to write some words and way you compose phrases. That's why the biggest software companies usually make 2 versions for programs and offer localized support. Plus, the folder name is "portuguesebr" agains "portuguese" for Portugal, so I think there's no problem.
I checked the files with the Japanese ones and also configured all national holidays for Brazil from 2001-2010.
