I installed the autologin hack for Xoops 2.0.9.2 and updated the system module, but I ended up with a lot of ?? question mark characters in the logon block, in the system module, etc.

Are there any Japanese language references in the files included in this hack? Is there someplace I can look to make modifications?

Thanks...

hi goatboy.

Which language do you use?

case English:
Perhaps, you did mistake with overwriting language/english/global.php

case The other language:
Edit langauge/(your_language)/global.php manually.

define('_REMEMBERME','remember me'); // describe with your language

And if you can, edit this line.

define('_USERNAME','username or email: '); // describe with your language

Hi GIJOE...

I'm using English only on my site. I did copy the language/english/global.php file from your package over the language/english/global.php file on my server.

I had backed up all original files prior to loading up your package, so I was able to easily revert back to the original files to get the site working properly again...albeit without the autologin functionality.

I did have autologin working on my 2.0.9.0 install by editing the files manually, but I thought I'd like to try your package this time.

Thanks...

Do you use customized template set?

If so, you should edit system_block_login.html manually via template manager.

I guess the second time is the charm...

I normally do use a custom template set, but I had switched over to the default template prior to installing the first time. I just tried exactly the same thing and now it works...go figure. Leave it to me to screw up what should be a relatively easy install. LOL

I made the necessary modifications to the custom template and the site now appears to be running fine with the autologin.

Thanks for your help and all the great things you do for the community!
