hi ner0x.

It sounds strange.

Did you set the path to photo as "/uploads/photos" ?
If so, checker should display
Directory for Photos: /home/goldfaq/public_html/uploads/photos ok

You'd better re-upload all of the module.
And install again after uninstalling.

I obtained right the same situation when I tried cloning the module.

I did it using a script which changes strings:

myalbum -> skany
_ALBM_ -> _SKAN_
MYALBUM_ -> SKAN_

and changing filenames of template files.

Now I can access the admin pages and change preferences (I checked - they are written to xoops_config table, especially the photo path '/uploads/skany'). But the environment check still indicates photo path like 'XOOPS_root_directory//1.jpg' - without subdirectory and with double slash. Also I have graphics filter NetPBM set, but env check shows GD.

Got it

To have config date retrieved properly, you must look at include/read_configs.php. In line 40, function strncmp is invoked to filter module's configuration data from the $..._configs array. After changing module's name, you shoult adjust number of characters being compared - in my case from 8 to 5.

Also it's not enough to change names of template files. To ahve pages displayed correctly you must also change name of the class/myalbum_textsanitizer.php.
