I am having the same issue. I upgraded to 2.80 and lost my catagory structure. So while I was rebuilding it worked o.k. until the first time I added a banner/image to one of the catagories. Now everytime I add or modify a catagory I get '...' added to the end of the URL and the Catagory name. If I try to fix it I get '......' and so on.

Check at http://www.klvance.org to see what I am talking about. I saw it on the site listed above as well.

Thank you for reporting.

It looks like a bug of xoops_substr() in XOOPS 2.0.7.

line 92 in admin/index.php
			default :	// varchar (default)
				if( $field < 1 ) $field = 255 ;
				// $data = mb_strcut( $data , 0 , $field ) ;
				$data = addslashes( xoops_substr( $data , 0 , $field ) ) ;
				$ret .= "$col='$data'," ;
try it, please.

Thanks for the help...but, now when I rearrange my catagories (They all became top level after upgrading) I go o.k. for 3-4 edits, then BAM the edits are undone, and almost everything is back at top level. I have not had it happen when I was in debug mode...I will try again sat night to get the output.

Thanks

hi boufa.
What a lot of categories!

Perhaps, it's a bug of the routine about categories ; the routine is new in 2.8.

I'll check the routine.

The flexibility with the catagories is one of the features I like. I have investigated other programs but yours does the best. With 1300 images (and many more coming) I like to be able to organize them in a very efficient way.

i.e. Lighthouses (top level), then by state and in some cases by lighthouse name if their is a lot of images of a particular light.

or

Family photos, organized under the family catagory, then under the year, then the event. Quick access to my daughters first xmas, etc. (family-2003-christmas)

Thanks...I hope I haven't reached the capability limit of the software, I will probobly doulbe the size of the image database this year if I can.

It's a silly bug of myself.

line 673 of include/functions.php
$loop_check = 16 ;
change 16 to a number which you like.
This will be the limit of number of categories.

Thus, I'll change this number as 4096 or more in myAlbum-P 2.81.

2.81 will be released tomorrow or the next.

That solved the problem. Thanks.

I also had the other problem with the catagories showing up on the main page, but not in the drop down menus. I wonder if they are somehow connected. I do not seem to have that problem anymore either, but it may have gone away from the edits I made (that you recomended) or when I upgraded to 2.80.

I hope that helps

I think this is caused by ghost categories.
Try 2.81.
All of the bugs found recently are fixed in this version..., perhaps.
