Hi Gijoe
Must say a great module a

What am after is a "simplified" submit event for users

have worked out how to turn recurring off

am after users just beeing able to choose
the day only and only one single day

as in
no end date or any start/end timings

can't work out is where and how to make the start date = end date

so that the user just chooses
subject
description
and one date

hope can help

hi mike-h

Thank you for the suggestion.
I think piCal has become too complex for general usage, too.
Simpler interface may help almost users.

My suggestion.

Basic View - assumes a single-day event occuring in the default time zone settings for xoops.

the other options available are:
---start time and end time
---summary, description
---category, class

Advanced View
- current setup

I still prefer piCal over other calendars (ie the humongous Agenda-X).

Simple is beautiful.

By the way, I am trying to learn how to code in PHP and XOOPS. How do I begin hacking with piCal? :)

Any recommended tips?

perhaps two submit pages as Gowin suggested
a "basic" one with a link to the "advanced" one

have almost made my basic one but can not work out how to turn the
"end date" to be the same as the "start date" on submission

Trial and error :)

depending on knowledge, just try changing things and see what happens
