When you edit an event the categories are not checked in the edit form. If you don't pay attention then you will lose the categories when you save the event.

hi mariuss.

I know it and it is written in TODO.txt (only Japanese).

I'll modify the privileges model for categories-groups.

old) check if allow
new) check if deny

Changing this spec will also solve the bug which you mean.

I am bit confused now

Maybe I did not explain the problem properly. For example there is an event that belongs to the 'Mass Media' category and it works fine. When I edit this event the 'Mass Media' checkbox is not checked and if I save it like that the event won't belong to any category now.

So, when the event edit form is loaded the category checkboxes are not initialized.

Is this the issue you knew about?

It's my misunderstanding.
What I mentioned is an issue of editing events which belongs some categories not permitted to the editing user.

BTW, I've never met such a bug.
When I edit the events, all categories are initialized rightly.

Tell me the conditions.

It was my mistake, sorry. The categories I was using were not setup properly. I did not grant any permissions after creating them and no group had access.

When creating an event even if you don't have rights for a category you can still see the checkboxes. You can check them but later when you edit the same event, probably because of the permissions, the categories are not checked.

hmmm...
I've never experienced like you.
A user can't see categories checkboxes which is not permitted to the user even when he is going to create new event.
Tell me the conditions, please.
