I installed xoops for first time on a bilingual website -english/japanes i am developing and i have two questions, i hope you can help me.

1. On Liaise contact form -default encoding euc-jp- when people send me an email, i cant read the message : ( I tried to change many times encoding but nothing. Can i change encoding to send mail on utf-8? the issue is also that some of my visitors write information on chinese, spanish, etc, so i think euc-jp is not what i need for my default contact form page on japanese. Any way to change?

2. Do you know an easy way to change every single file i downloaded in japanese that is using euc-jp to utf-8? changing .htaccess? it is a big issue i cant even change the preference on control panel to english, because then everything that is in japanese become $%$%A"EDE, well u know encoding mess. Even for checking your forum, i had to change encoding to see japanese threads. -i use safari mac-. Or i cant also see on dreamweaver the japanese keywords to edit! : (
