とりあえず、私が紹介しているHackで、正常にD3モジュールは動作してますよ。
altsys、wraps、bulletin 2.0 全部問題ありません。

「パスの深さが違う」、というのはSimplifiedURLsと同レベルでの無茶をしているので、このHackとはまったく別次元のものだと考えるのが相当でしょう。
