Default categrory display.

I saw a few threads on options to implement this including creating a simply link to the categrory display (/piCal/index.php?cid=5 ) . This will work, but I do not want two main menu calendar items so I would hide the default pical menu item/module.

My question is, how do you create a menu item for the "submit" feature given it is dynamic (current date). if you cannot create this then that means I still have to have the default pical menu item/module displayed which will cause user confusion.
