Doesn't work. I have to login again afther some time ...
I'm sorry that this hack is not for norvices
I recommend this to only users who has skills to explain the details at least.
Don't forget to update the System module after you've uploaded the files and made the modifications.
I don't know if its necessary ... but I also made sure the "templates" option in System/General Preferences was also set to YES ... just in case .. before I updated the System module
Otherwise I followed the instructions and its working fine on my site.
Peter
GIJOE you don't know anything about my skills.
I did everything like it writes ... I didn't update the system module ... but I cleared templates_c directory.
I can see the remember me button normally ... but if I close the browser and come back in one hour ... I have to login again.
I was using previous versions of autologin and it worked great.

You did misunderstanding.
Clearing templates_c is non-sense for replacing templates in DB.
New template's cache will be created from old DB.
Anyway, this is not the problem, since you can see the button.
Check again:
mainfile.php is patched correctly
include/autologin.php exists
include/autologin_main.php exists
And you should check your cookie just after loggin-in.
Yes, I see a button so this is not a problem ...
- include/autologin.php exist
- include/autologin_main.php exist
YES
- mainfile.php is patched correctly
YES
I can send you my username and password to PM ... if you want to check it.
OK ... now it works ... I turned custom session off and it works.
But when I come to site, it takes me to redirect (thank you for logging in ...)
In 2.0.13 hack you were logged in directly ... how can I make it same in 2.2.1 ?
Thanks!

I've just checked and it works fine even with custom session on.
Perhaps, it is an issue of irregular output before header.php
A warning might be displayed in line 558 of autologin_main.php
setcookie($xoopsConfig['session_name'], session_id(), time()+(60 * $xoopsConfig['session_expire']), '/', '', 0);

X2.2 and X2.0 is quite different each other in authentication.
Thus, the hack codes for X2.2 is different from X2.0
If you don't want to display redirect_message, try my "speed up hack".

hack works ok for me except when I come back to the site after closing the browser I get a "User Login" screen with a "go" button. I click go and I am logged in, then brought to a blank page "error.php?c=1"
