when i try to use the iCalendar sync option to add an event from the system to my iCal (my my mac), i get this error
"Error: Downloaded data is not valid"
this even happens when i try one of the events listed on this site.
does this feature not work yet?

As I don't have Mac, I can't test that the iCalendar data from piCal are acceptable for iCal or not.
At least, it works well with Outlook.
And I believe that my implementation satisfy the spec of RFC2445.

it seems to function correctly as far as launch teh app and everything, but it just says the data is bad. i'd be happy to test out any suggestion for a fix on the mac end if anyone has any?

If you have some valid ics for iCal, paste or attach here.
I'll check the differences.

Of course, I knew the Apple's site.
And I've checked the feature of "import" from the site.
Now I'm using NFL schedule from here.
Or iCal can't receive data with some http headers.
What about register ics files which you've download .ics to local ?

I'm sorry that I forgot this thread.
What I mean is like this:
- Save .ics from piCal via your browser.
- Import to iCal from the local ics file.
I wonder that the method of POST confuse iCal though .ics format is right...
