XOOPS Cube 2.1 Legacy RC has already released on 22nd Jan 2007.
I've just tested it whether my modules work fine or not.

The result... ALL GREEN!

Though Cube 2.1 Legacy has full-scratched core far from X2, it maintains high module compatibity!

I'm surprised with the great work.
Bravo! minahito, nobunobu, and Tom_G3X.

I've just made an icon of "XC2.1 Ready!".
I'll add it into mydownload's records of the modules have been checked the compatibility.

hi gigamaster.

I'm sorry that I cannot understand what you mean yet.

Does FCKEditor reject ISO-8859-1 characters?

[ ] HTML special character escape

This setting just means your post passes (or not) htmlspecialchars() as a function of PHP.

Hi Gijoe,

Sorry if my post wasn't clear.
While editing pico content with fckeditor or not,
the issue of special characters comes from the filter
[ ] HTML special character escape

There's no such problem with d3forum!
"special entities" is cool for latin languages too.
(wysiwyg could be an optional feature i.e. university intranet forum)

Otherwise, everything ok. French language files need some
improvements, i'll send you a new translation.

Best Rergards,

Module D3Forum:
Option "special entities" have no effect
FCkeditor not available

What do you mean?

Of course, d3forum cannot use FCKEditor.
Because this is a forum module can be posted from anonymous users including malicious one.
Though pico is a content module can be posted from trusted users only.

This is a post without "Enable special-entity"
This option will be useful for describing programming/HTML code etc.

Hi Gijoe,

Module : Pico

First Test:
mbstring.encoding_translation = off
Utf8LangMgr - Installed
FCKeditor - Installed
Check browser encoding, auto

Second Test:
mbstring.encoding_translation = off
Utf8LangMgr - Not Installed
FCKeditor - Not Installed
Check browser encoding, auto

/!\ While editing content I set "off" the filter [ ] HTML special character escape !
Everything seems to work fine now.

Module D3Forum:
Option "special entities" have no effect
FCkeditor not available

Best Regards,

Hi Gijoe,

I'm testing modules with the last XOOPS Cube 2.1 RC too.
Did you notice any troubles with your modules encoding special entities? And with 'fckeditor' installed?

My first try on the following test servers point out some issues with latin characters (
