Hi,

I've installed the latest Protector version (2.40RC2) on XOOPS 2.0.10.

When I send emails, they seem to be delivered, but it isn't true. Only a few times (with specific domain, e.g. mine: @agenziaentrate.it) it works.

I noted that with another XOOPS installation (always with Protector) but with register_globals on in .htaccess, all works fine!

What do you think about?

Bye,
Alessandro

I solved by myself!

The mail() and sendmail functions should be used with optional arguments, that become mandatory with a lot of pop3.
Currently XOOPS (v2.0.10) doesn't allow to complete these optional arguments.
For this reason, the only method really usable is SMTP, indicating a proper server (usually localhost).
The .htaccess config file doesnt' affect it at all.

Bye,
Alessandro
