I haven't tested this,so thank you for reporting.
BTW,i recommend you to use The Easiest Multilanguage Hack by GiJoe instead.
I don't have the direct link at the moment but you may search xoops.org's forums and it will pop up.

I saw the difference, the diffs are only with installation, both of hacks are not really ML such as Nuke ML , example - when u try to enter a news story in Nuke, it comes with question with language u want to display it, in both Easy and not Easy hacks, u have to use [en]text[/en][bg]text[/bg][es]text[/es][it]text[/it] and so on, this is not ML (but is the only way at the moment to maintain site available to at least two languages, what about 47 such as Nuke ?

Perhaps, ep98 means MultiLanguage should be PHP-Nuke style.
I've ever used such a multi-language applications which names osCommerce.
But its implementation is hard to use for me.
Using language tags is much more flexible and easier to maintenance, I believe.
Anyway, it is non-sense to discuss "which is true ml".
I can compete with theme like "which is easier ml" or "which is faster ml"
