Not sure what broke this, but I suspect that it may be related to auto login so I will post here and get your opinion.

I use AMS for my site news, and I hacked the posttonews.php file to work with AMS, it has been tested and worked (before). When I first hacked it there was a problem with notifications, but Mith gave me the code to fix that problem.

Anyway I haven't used it in a while but just had an opppertunity to send a forum post that I created to AMS. I clicked on the icon, was sent to the page asking for confirmation to send the article to AMS, when I get to the AMS edit article page it is blank and the author is listed as Guest (anonymous on my site). Tried this several times with the same results.

Is it possible that something in the new autologon or protector is causing this? Or should I look for something else that may be breaking this?

Perhaps autologin hack is not guilty.

But Protector can do that under some conditions.

Do you know the right condition which causes such a trouble?

If so, you should try it after disabling Protector temporarily in Preferences.

Thanks GIJOE. It is not the protector.

Will continue looking for another solution to my problem.
