It would be helpful to have a global on/off setting in the Protector module preferences:
Protector enabled? (x) Yes () No
This would help, for example, if you're getting blank pages, and want to quickly determine whether the Protector is causing them by blocking something.
If possible, this setting could also disable the pre-check and post-check.
