how can i turn these two ('register_globals' and 'allow_url_fopen') off?

1)
i have applied your recommendation you provided in xoops.org (by editting the .htaccess), however it made my xoops unfunctional as the command is not understood?

2)
how about allow_url_fopen, how can i turn it off?

Some modules need these turned on in order to function. This is generally due to sloppy coding. You should be able to set these both in .htaccess , but I have no idea how as I ue IIS .
