I think the Dec 2004 title on MiniCal should be a link, just like the Today link at the bottom of the block. It's a more natural place for the user to want to click.

Is it natural?
I've never seen a minical which has such an interface.
Anyway, you can edit the template of minical by using the skin feature of piCal.
- copyall images/default/ to images/newskin/
- set 'newskin' in piCal's preferences.
- edit the template file minical.tmpl.html etc.
