I can help you with the first problem. It's supposed to say, "URL of RSS or Atom," not URI. The url is the web address of the RSS feed. You can find it by clicking on the "XML" or "RSS" logo of the site you want to syndicate. Just click the link and copy the web address from the address bar of your browser.

Please let me know how you make out, I'm considering trying this module, though I see the support is not very cordial.
