I just installed d3Forum 0.83 & Altsys 0.60 on an Impress 1.0 site, and the post numbering seems off. I imported CBB catergories and posts (only bout 4 posts) and then sync'ed everything.

It seems that posts are numbered globally. The first post in the module is #1, the second post in a different forum/topic is #2, the third post in a different forum/topic is #3, the fourth post in a different forum/topic is #4, etc. Then, if you go back and post again in the original forum/topic, the post will be #5, and it should be #2 (or 1.1).

Hope that makes sense.

Should I go back to an older version?

Jere

P.S.

"Post number" means the unique path per each topics.
This is a logical tool.

Greetings GIJoe. Thanks for the reply.

As an example, the number for your reply to me is #1.1. That's not the way it is working in my forum. Your most might be #27 even though it is only the 2nd post in this thread.

I mean that I would like to be notified when there is a new post in this thread, but I cannot find a way to subscribe to the thread.

Regards,
Jere

I could use some help on this issue. Right now, my forum (CBB) is broken, and I have no forum. But it seems that d3Forum (0.83) is not working right. Posts are not being numbered like here on this forum.

Did you change the way posts are numbered?

What version of d3Forum are you using here?

Odd behavior
Have you "sync" all topics/forums/categories in d3forum's admin?

I see.
It's simple reason.
I disables any notifications in this site.

Because too many "invalid e-mails" returns to me.
