Just got the wraps module to install, I updated indexes for searching, added the index.html and a xoops framed page with no html...Checked all the usual readme doc stuff, folders sync, html files in folder, it must be cause wraps notices when I put in a certain number of html files, then update indexes, it always counts the correct number of files in the folder...but no page? is it somethign to do with the global permissions or something? anyway I also have protector, and was going through fixing mainfile.php with the pre and post checks, worked fine, but then when I changed the prefix db and updated the mainfile to the new db prefix ***_xoops, reloaded the mainfile, and started getting error in protector that post check is not included...didn't change anything down there.

also after I did the prefix update, I got a sql querry box show up at the bottom, what's that all about?

ok...just did that...still nothing.. blank page.. It looks like the module is working, but something is wrong...

Like I said earlier, after changing the prefix on my xoops sql database as advised by protector, something got messed up...the wraps module (which I named 'services') isn't showing the module icon anymore in the admin section of xoops. It was fine before I did the sql prefix change, so I went back and changed the sql prefix back to plain old xoops...protector gave me the error, but the icon never showed back up..
in firefox nothing appears in the administration main page, but when I go into system -> modules, I see the wrap module with my wrap name: 'services' without any icon...in i.e. i get a missing link icon where it should be...

even tried the suggestion by the person who replied to the db fix for 2.0.15 by copying the files into the regular xoops module folder, under my named folder, 'services' and in a new folder called templates...still nothing...

Not sure what is going on, but still need a little advice. thanks.

ok...GOT IT!!

Maybe I am just tired or something, but I never saw anything that told me to go into the admin -> system -> templates, and click the Generate button.. I am not sure if it only gave me that option because I did the 2.0.15 bug fix thing, or if it was there all along and I just didn't see it cause I wasn't looking there!
Either way it is working....

BUT

my nice wraps icon is STILL missing from the xoops administration menu, and using firefox, it doesn't even appear in the list of modules! I have to go in through system -> modules, and at the bottom is still my new module, but no wraps icon...what did I do wrong here, and although it appears to be working now, will this be a problem later??

Then copy module_icon.png into public side.

thanks...that seemed to fix the module icon in the module section of the admin in xoops...but I thought when i was still trying to install the first module, one time when I had some success the wraps icon appreared in the left column, underneath all the other module icons, BEFORE i click on system -> modules. Like I said, the hack works and shows the icon when I go to the system ->modules but doesn't show up when I first log into the administration page...is it supposed to? thanks!

Do you mean the order of icons?
- set weights for each modules in module's admin

Do you mean only wraps icon is not displayed in the left column?
- try to remove cache/admin_menu.php
