It's just an issue of HTML/CSS.

edit your theme.html

from:

'content' => $_SESSION['redirect_message']

to:

'content' => '<span style="color:red;">'.$_SESSION['redirect_message'].'</span>'

I use your famous hack on two sides. I am using CBB 2.3 on one and the hack is not working with that version. It does with CBB 3.04
