This hack only works with content? It not translate the menus of xoops?

This hack is different from marcan's hack radically.
If you need multilanguage other than contents, edit themes,templates,configs, and the current language files like this:
[en]English[/en][fr]France[/fr]
It is easy to create a perl script make such language files automatically.

Perhaps, you misunderstood about EMLH.
EMLH does not concern user's profiles.
It just eliminates the other language part in the last of outputting.
(ob filter)
Only a cookie is affected.
This tecnique is useful for other than XOOPS
