hi,
first of all thank you for your contributions.
you've opened up many opportunities i wouldn't have had otherwise.
i noticed you changed the modules directory to md
is this something difficult to configure in xoops?
i would also like to do this, to block some of the google url searches hackers use to find xoops sites.
thnks

i tried the link
everything works fine on the front end.
when i go to the admin backend,if i choose preferences in the system module and try to save changes i get a 403 error:
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /md/system/admin.php on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
any idea what the problem could be?
thanks for all your help!

come to think of it, this is probably not related to your hack.
i undid the hack, and the problem persists.
may have to reinstall everything.
