Config Check
Pipe for images: GD
GD Version: bundled (2.0.28 compatible)
Check that 'GD2'is working correctly under your GD bundled with PHP
If the page linked to from here doesn't display correctly, you should not use your GD in truecolor mode.
Directory for Photos: /home/fhlinux178/m/motorlife.theroadster.net/user/htdocs/uploads/photos ok
Directory for Thumbnails: /home/fhlinux178/m/motorlife.theroadster.net/user/htdocs/uploads/thumbs ok
Photos & Thumbs Link Check
Now, checking .ok
2 garbage files have been removed.
Right, I think the problemm for me is due to the fact I told the system to force GD2. Once I removed the check from that the files uploaded and the thumbnails are created. However the problem is that GD(1?) does not seem to make the thumbnails in correct colour, neither does it automatically resize the images is they are over the maximum width and height.
not sure if this is an issue with myalbum or a problem with the GD2 installation
There are many servers GD2 cannot work with PHP.
- Try to use ImageMagick or NetPBM
- Search the other server.
I thought as much. My service is rubbish and I will be looking for a new host in the new year :)
