I would love to have a module that can perform the same functions as myalbum-p only with user submitted video rather than pictures. Kind of like youtube.com or google video.

Is this a possiblity or in the works at all??

It is not impossible to modify myAlbum-P like YouTube

But you can add extensions for videos into "File extensions that can be uploaded" in myAlbum-P's admin.

eg)

Perhaps, users can upload just small videos (<= 2Mbyte or 8Mbyte) default.

If you can, change directives of PHP by .htaccess

- 'upload_max_filesize'
- 'post_max_size'

OK, I’ve given up on the idea of being able to upload video using this module. One reason is that my php limits are too low and I cannot change them per the hosting company. Secondly, what I am really wanting to add in terms of video are items found on youtube so why use my bandwith if I can use thiers.
Now that youtube and others have enabled the ablity to “embed” the video into your webpages, I want to be able to do this with myalbum-p. Currently I am using smartfactory’s smartsection module to handle this. In their add a file templet, there is the ability to add html (I don’t need the pagewrap feature) as well as a description section. With this feature, I can add the [embed] code to display the youtube video on my site along with a description, While this module works perfect for what I want to do, it lacks some things needed like the ability to comment and rate a video. Since I also use myalbum-p for pictures submitted by users I would just like to be able to add the videos with this module and consolidate things down to one module.

With all that said, is it possible to have on the submit a photo section, another area to imput the embed html code and the ability to not have to upload a file. At this point I am DESPERATE to get this feature combined into myalbum-p. If you don’t plan on adding the feature, I would be willing to help contribute financially at least something to get it done. I have no clue about programming or code so I am lost and unable to do anything on my own and I cant seem to find anyone else on xoops willing to help me out even though everyone in the community is screaming for just this ability.

It seems like a realtivly easy feature to add (html input area), but like I said, I don’t even know where to begin since I don’t know what I’m doing.

Also, I downloaded the link you provided but there is no xoops_version.php or other needed info to install so how do I install it. I cant read the language on the site to try and search for help.

I downloaded the x_movie 1.7 but unfortunately the "language/english" files are the "core" mylinks ones

I noticed that the japanese files are correct.
