I have Protector 2.53 installed on a Xoops 2.2.3 site. One of my users is having problems logging in.
I checked the protector logs and sure enough they had a BRUTE FORCE record in the Protector log. However their IP was not listed in the 'Bad IPs' list. I removed the record in the log.
The user still cannot log on, they get thrown out. I can log on from my location using their uid and pwd, no problem.
so
1/ Has anyone any ideas why this user cannot logon from their location whilst I can using their uid from mine?
2/ For GIJoe, is Protector functioning correctly. Should I not expect the IP of the offending user to be in the banned IP list?
Regards
A
Sorry for too late answer.

It sounds not a problem of Protector.
Try to set "Temporary disabled" on, once.
Perhaps, they cannot log your site on even then.
Else set "Protected IP bits for the session" on.
