I'm wondering if this is a bug.

My timezone and server timezone are both set to -7 in the preferences. My user timezone is also set to -7.

If I use php and mysql to check the time on the server, both php and mysql show the correct time, so there is no problem on the server.

I add a recurring event 9 times starting April 26 from 19:00 - 21:00 (2 hours).

In April, the time shows correctly, but for May forward, it shows 20:00 - 22:00. Then, in November, it goes back to showing 19:00 - 21:00.

Even more strange is if I click to edit the May event, the time shows up as 19:00 - 21:00, but viewing it shows 20:00 - 22:00. If I check the value in the database, the unix time stamp converts to the 20:00 - 22:00 so it is being stored in the DB incorrectly.

Nonetheless, the one hour difference from May - November almost coincides with daylight savings time. Clocks move forward in April and back in October. I'm wondering if there is some code buried in there that is incorrectly and automatically adjusting for Daylight Savings time? I just can't seem to find it.

I am having the very same problem, the shift is two hours!

This bug is combined with the fact that some of the repeating events show up twice (the first in the series), the they shift 1 hour and after DST they shift another hour.

Certainly, I don't implement "summer time".
Since I've never experienced it, I don't know its logic with accuracy.

But I believe that all of servers should not use "summer time", even if its clients live in the area using "summer time".
I'll repair piCal, the error of calcuration occurs even if the server which set in absolute timezone.

I have also a problem that the calendar doesn't switch properly to AM times. For example, I have an event that starts at 10 PM and ends at 2 AM. I enter it on the calendar as 22:00 and 2:00, however, it shows on the weekly Calendar the ending time as 26:00 AM.

I also confirm that there are some changes on repating events where the time shifts by couple of hours.

BTW - will it be possible to select between 24 hours and AM/PM systems? It would be ideal if this would be incorporated in a language, with the user/Admin being able to override it in his/her preferences. For example, if I select English it should have AM/PM system as the default, but if I select Spanish, it should be 24h system.

Thansk.

It doesnot concern Summer or Saving time.
You can specify the border of the day to 0:00 in piCal's preferences.

This must be the problem of summer time.

It sounds good.
I've added it to my TODO, but I don't know when can I touch piCal again.

OK, I did it and it seems it took care of the time shift issue. However, it still goes over to another day.

How can I ensure that event that ends at 2:00 AM doesn't show in the calendar the next day?

That works fine, however, the program instead of 2:00 shows 26:00.

How can I force it to show AM hours instead of just adding hours to 24?
