On XOOPS 2.0.13.2

Just installed TinyD 2.2

Also ... at the same time I upgraded Protector, Blocks Admin to latest and installed Remember Me.

I installed this site for a friend. I have high speed internet ... he uses a dial up connection.

We both use the Administrator Login & password.

I can add & edit content in TinyD ... no problem.

He is alway getting "Invalid Session".

He has tried using Internet Explorer & Firefox. I had him uninstall his PC-cillin thinking that might be the problem. Re-checked his settings in Internet Explorer.

I thought maybe he was taking too long to post ... so I increased the Session Expiration in XOOPS from 120 minutes to 2880 minutes. When he still had a problem I disabled Session Cookies altogether. I double checked Permissions and they are all set correctly.

But he still gets "Invalid Session".

He can use all other modules without a problem.

I can't figure this one out. I need HELP ... QUICK

Thank you for any and all input.
Peter

(added)
P.S. After trying the alternative "Add Content" editors ... it turns out he only has the problem with the SPAW Editor. He can enter & edit when he uses the alternative editor(s).

I've been reported "Invalid session in SPAW editor", but it is not solved yet.

Just wait.

Thanks GIJoe....

Don't think I will know what I am looking at but I will check out the programming for SPAW ... maybe something will jump out at an untrained eye

It's just real strange that he gets the error message ... but I don't. I wish he wasn't 1200 miles away ... then I could compare the 2 computer setups.

Whoever finds the answer first ... we will post it here. Right???

Since I've never experienced such trouble, I can't solve it yet. (Still waiting another reports)

Anyway, you can try to disable "browser cache".

HUH??? You mean the Module Cache in Xoops??? If so ... it never was enabled.

If you mean Temporary Internet Files ... both our browsers are set to reload the pages each time. So browser cache isn't really a factor.

That is ... IF I am sort of understanding correctly.

Don't you think it's too impolite ?
There are both possibility in server or client.

If you can, translate and read this thread.

Sorry if you felt my response was impolite ... it wasn't meant to be. Honest.

It was just an attempt to express my confusion ...

As well I was just explaining as best I can what the module cache was set at ... and how our browsers were set up.

Like I said ... I wasn't trying to be impolite. I have too much respect for you & your talent & generosity in sharing these great modules to ever intentionally be impolite or insulting to you.

Sorry if you felt I was.

Thanks for the link. I used Babelfish and although it didn't translate it well ... I think it translated it well enough IF I understood what I was reading.

I have gone through all the settings in my friends IE 6 ... and he is going to try SPAW again. He had someone working on his computer and he had changed a few settings in IE for some reason.

I will let you know here what the result is.

Thanks again for your assistance ...

Hi again ....

YES ... Success ... SPAW is now OK for my friend.

In Internet Explorer ... I had him go to ... Tools ... Internet Options ... under the General Tab .. on Temporary Internet Files click on Settings. It asks "Check for newer versions of stored pages" ... choose "Every visit to the page".

He made that change and TinyD works as well for him as it does for me

Thanks

I came here because of the same problem. I've been using Tiny-D for quite some time, but have never had this problem until now.

So far, the fix described above seems to have fixed the issue using IE, but I don't know how to fix it for Firefox. I really liked having Firefox compatibility, so if anyone knows how to get it working with Firefox, I'd really appreciate it.

I'm running xoops 2.0.13.2 and Tiny-D 2.2.

Thanks.

Try gticket2.

- get the latest blocksadmin.
- copy/overwrite blocksadmin/include/gtickets.php into tinyd*/include/gtickets.php

hi John.

A confirmation.

Does "working" mean "you can repost successfully"?

If so, I'll update gtickets.php in all of my works.
