When I try to ban an IP through the Protect Center I receive the following error:

Quote:
Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in
/something/something/modules/protector/admin/index.php on line 34

Furthermore, I believe that the setting 'Ban the IP' for any of the actions in preferences doesn't work.

hi cebepuh.

You've posted in the best timing.

This is caused by an imcompatibility between XOOPS 2.2.3 and the other XOOPS.
I've just modified it.

Banning through the Protect center now works. Thanks.

But the 'Ban the IP' setting against certain behaviours in the Preferences still doesn't work. For example I have set 'Ban the IP' for 'Action against high loading Crawlers'. I see in the protector log that last night a crawler visited me but it wasn't banned automatically.

Perhaps the feature of 'ban IP' can't work with XOOPS 2.2.x, now.
It should be modified.

Anyway, I don't recommend the action 'ban IP'.
If you can use .htaccess, I recommend you to "DENY by .htaccess".

This is the best solution I believe.
