It is quite difficult to protect web application from DDoS.
If you can, try .htaccess option.
Else, you have to set-up "iptables".

Well.. my web site went back to normal again.
what I did was removed the protector module and reinstalled it again.
I got a question, how can we know what is the best value for each setting, for example, DDos attack, how much time is the best time to monitor the attack?
Can anyone give some suggestions? Thanks.

It looks like that there is a limitation of MySQL queries (specially the number of write/update queries) imposed by your host.
I had a similar problem. There is no solution but to increase the write/update queries. Or disable the protector module.
You may have a totally different situation from mine.

here is what happened.
I tried to access my website this morning, and I found my site was kind of slow.. then I got some warning message, I guess it is from protector module. I am using protector 2.52. Has anyone had this problem before? How can I fix it? Thanks.
