The date format in the new event editing form doesn't respect the format defined in the system module preferences.

Is there a solution?

Do you mean the format in textbox?
If so, I have to say it is almost impossible.

eg)
01-02-05

We cannot judge it as 2005-01-02, 2005-02-01 or 2001-02-05.

You can see the date formatted as you like in right of the calendar botton.

Use calendar JavaScript and see the text.

OK, I understand.

Other question: the javascript calendar appears in english, I'd like it in french on a french site!

In the other modules, the javascript calendar appears in french.

Thanks for help!
