using ical to import and export would be a bit hard.

I need to syncronize each night from a XML file I have. The translation from the XML isn't a problem, but I thought of using the default pical classes and methods to insert the data, and manipulate it, or inserting them directly in the DB.

Is there any documentation on the structure of the database (what is expected, what is needed...), or is there some "API", which states how you should create and use the classes?

Something along the lines of:

$foo = new PiCal();
$foo->createEvent(some, data, here, like, the, title, and, timing ...);

or simular... an Api, or how I should manipulate the db...

Thx,
wonko

I also would like to integrate piCal with other scripts. For instance, for each event, I'd like to have larger input boxes, and add a couple additional fields.

Is there any plans to allow editing of the database and field in an entry?

Just use iCalendar (RFC2445)

piCal can output/input iCalendar data.

hi,

i would like to syncronize pical with some external data. is there a recommended way, so my setup will work through upgrades?

Is there a API or external class I can use to save, search and examine the existings events, and add my own, or should I just write the correct data to the database tables?

Some links to some example documentation or the correct thread(s) would be appreciated.

Rgds,
Wonko
