I've got a (normally) frequently used site that's running Protector. Since today it says on every page (except the homepage):

You are registered as BAD_IP by Protector.

I cannot use any of the links on the homepage. I cannot login to disable Protector. I have tried to alter some rows in the _config table, but it did not change anything.

I would like to uninstall/disable Protector, so I can login and set it up again.

What should I do? Help (please!). (I have full FTP and database access)

what I did that temporarily fixed it was unquoting the BAD_IP check in the following file:
<<xoops_trusted>>/modules/protector/includes/precheck_functions.php

although this disables the whole bad ip checking feature probably, for our organization it is more important that the site functions to serve the users.
