- Perhaps, XOOPS China uses xlang made by phppp
- xlang and EMLH are different each other

I asked regarding the Xlang module that you use here in its site, if it has some hack enclosed, therefore vi that it makes translations of the Japanese for the English in the forums d3forum.

I make little comparing xlanguage contra EMLH (-bad, +good)
- EMLH -> not switching interface language (system language)/ I know , there are some hack to do this, by new version EMLH will make this better ? ;P/
+ EMLH -> tag for images selecting languages [ mlimg], so we can easy tag what part of content is translated

Wish list
1. new tag for images selecting single language like [ mlimg:en] to sign ready translated part in this languages only - ads new flag in future if this some part of contents will be translated in next languages - sometimes this is long, step by step process ;)( now if You have 5 languages on site You get 5 flags suggesting 5 translation ready ;( )
2. changing system language

To change "system language" with EMLH, you can use the same syntax. For example, in the Modules Administration area, you can name your modules like [ja]ニュース[/ja][en]News[/en].

System Language - this not modules visible name or theme modifications ... this like switch of default xoops interface language - included languages installed in modules.
ex. not changed from Your site :

It's too old and meaningless suggestion.
You can find a lot of duplicated threads in this site.

EMLH dare to maintain system language although it is quite easy to swith system language.
You should know xlang is just a derivered version from EMLH.
And I think this is just a corrupted.

The reason why I name it "corrupted" is caching problem.

You can find the problem with xlang just by turning "module cache" or "block cache" on.


The best delivered version from EMLH must be SysUtils from nobunobu.
SysUtils hooks some logics like a magic.

But SysUtils have the same problem like xlang.

CubeUtils for XoopsCube Legacy is the latest solution.
It adds cache_ids per languages into Smarty by preload.
With the module, "cache" and "ML" works file simultaneously.
This is the first module/hacks better than EMLH in XOOPS history.

Of course, CubeUtils works only with XoopsCube Legacy
