Hello!

I downloaded d3pipes 0.57a and tried to get RSS in German for example http://www.spiegel.de/schlagzeilen/rss/0,5291,,00.xml .
But it doesn't go well. All characters peculiar to German is lost.
What I did were :

1. Snoopy --- http://www.spiegel.de/schlagzeilen/rss/0,5291,,00.xml
2. mbstring --- iso-8859-1
3. XMLanalysis --- rss
here the characters like ü ö become square. (empty?)
4. mbstring --- iso-8859-1
5. HTML Allowance
6. cashe

Could you teach me what should I do?

Perhaps, you don't have mbstring.

try iconv or ISO88591 as converting joint instead of mbstring.

(You can set it "Joint initials").

Thank you for your reply.

I tried again as follows:

1. Snoopy
2. iso88591 (it only whitened as i tried "iconv")
3. XMLanalysis

Then, it garbled this time like "EntfûÇrter SchãÅerhund glûÂklich"
Besides, might I have to do?
Or, can the blocks(d3pipes_block_sync.html) be shown with iso88591,so as not to garble?

You should add

4. "UTF-8 to" "iso8859-1"

Hello,

Sadly, then, instead of the garble "?" is displayed like "verl?t tr?en Europ?cher".

Is your character ISO8859-1?

If you use ISO-8859-* other than 1, set proper character set.
And you should check your php has iconv or mbstring.
