I installed Pico 1.0 on a Xoops 2.2.4 site. It appeared to install okay, but, when I went to the module admin/preferences page, there was no text to describe what the selections were for.

The module does not say that it is for one Xoops version or another, so I assumed it is compatible with the 2.2.x tree.

I would like to test this module, so how do I fix this?

Are you shure that you copied all files properly? Have you installed Altsys and set the xoops_trust_path in mainfile.php? There are no problems with pico on my testsystem with 2.2.4.

..::Edit::..
Also no problems on XC 2.1

I met this question, too. After I installed Pico 1.2, at pico's module preferences page, the descriptions of left side all do not show, and the optionses of the right side are all normal.

Xoops 2.2 + php 4.3 + mysql 4.1

How can I to do? Thank you.

Thank you, GIJOE.

I had updated it twice from modules administration, but the problem still existed.

At the bottom of PICO's module preferences page, there are some php warning:

It sounds odd.
pico can work with 2.2.5 from xoops.org

- Check your language files are uploaded correctly.
- Remove TRUST_PATH/modules/language/(your_language) once
- Install altsys also (All D3 modules are recommended to work with altsys module)

Remove TRUST_PATH/modules/pico/language/(your_language) once ---- Yes, I executed.
Install altsys also (All D3 modules are recommended to work with altsys module) ---- Yes, I installed (v.0.41).

But I can not solved that problem.

My xoops's structure is:
Quote:
htdocs
|- Xoops_Root
|--- Modules
|------ altsys
|------ pico
|
|- Xoops_Trust_Path
|--- Libs
|------ altsys
|-------- language
|----------- english
|--- Modules
|------ pico
|-------- language
|----------- english
|--- Pear

Try to go "Preferences" of module's top navigation.

Yes, it shows OK from there. Thank you.

Another question, how can display the Module's Name instead of "TOP (MENU)" in the "breadcrumbs"?
For example, my pico's name is "my pico 1", and there are some contents (content1, content2, ...) in this module's top category, so when I read these contents, there display "TOP (MENU) > content1 ..." at page top. Now I want to display that "breadcrumbs" like this "my pico 1 > content1 ...", what can I to do it?

However I cannot understand why your system module of XOOPS 2.2 does not display preferences correctly...
Which version of 2.2?

Just edit the template (dirname)_inc_breadcrumbs.html by altsys.
Or disable breadcrumbs of pico and write "xoops_breadcrumbs" into your theme.html

It's v.2.2.6 from xoops.org.cn

Yes, it has solved my problem.

I browsed your v.1.3 alpha, and found it can "changed the top category editable (like normal category)", so I think in the future version whether might the top category's name will increase to breadcrumbs automatically?

Thank you.

I don't know the number of 2.2.6
2.2.5-rc2 is the latest of 2.2.x officially.

I cannot support local version, sorry.

I don't know it because the feature is not so important.

All I can say, "breadcrumbs should be in theme.html rather than each modules".

Then I support xoops_breadcrumbs for my modules.

Thank you, GIJOE.

I have installed xoops 2.2.5-rc2 officially earlier today, and pico, altsys modules only on it, I met same problem, too. :( I don't know why it is? At the same time, I've installed 2.0.16 also, it's no any problem.

I've just remembered the reason.
It is a natural problem between 2.2.x and D3 modules.

Just install the latest Protector.
I believe it's the MUST module for all xoops.

It can solve it.

Sorry for the feedback is lately. I'd installed Protector 3.02 on XOOPS 2.2.5 yesterday, and edited mainfile.php according to the recommendation, but I still can't solve it.

And I also found "Protector Preferences" that is not normal from Preferences Main page

Perhaps, you've never installed Protector successfully.
Missing precheck/postcheck.

Without precheck/postcheck, Protector will work nothing.

Yes, you are right. I forgot to save mainfile.php after edited it for Protector . Now xoops 2.2.5 is ok, and looked like xoops 2.2.5 and 2.2.6 have are very greatly different.

Thank you very much.
