Just installed Protector V3 Final on my Xoops 2.2.4 testserver.
The installation proces was fine and everything still looked good after adding the 2 red lines to mainfile.php.
When I visited Protector preferences the left column seems to be missing.
With PHP Debug on I got the following warnings:

Well, installed altsys; copied one part to modules and the lib to xoops_trust_path.
Still no text in the left column of the preferences of Protector.

I meant clicking Preferences above Protector's admin controllers after installing altsys.

Anyway, I've just modified the compatibility with 2.2.x.
Download again and overwrite just include/postcheck.inc.php.

When going to Module preferences I still don't have any text in the left column.
Only when I select preferences in Protect Centre I get the text in the left column.
I've updated the module Protector as you mentioned but this didn't help.

paste the result of the line of 'mainfile.php' in "security advisory".

Hello GIJOE,

The problem is solved.
I opened mainfile.php and found that the 2 extra lines were still commented out.
I feel a little embarrassed about this now.....

One final question.
Do I really need to have the module altsys to be installed when using Protector 3?

"altsys" will be the most basical module of almost all of my modules.

You can remove altsys casually if you don't use my modules other than Protector
