Completely fresh installation of xoops 2.16 and latest Protector. As soon as I install Protector and login I get kicked off to login page. I tried to disable every feature in Protector->Preferences, but still the same result. Only if I completely disable Protector site works fine. Also if I disable pre/post check site is working fine.

So. Install Protector, enable post/pre in mainfile.php. Login to site, go to AdministrationMenu->Protector->Preferences, disable every possible feature (set to None (logging only)). Click on Go, redirected to LoginPage as I'm kicked off. Re-login, Go to Administration, can move around, login to Admin side, but then suddenly get kicked off again. Can get kicked off also while just clicking on front page through different links. If disable protection everything is fine. Cleared templates, cache etc there are no modules installed only system and Protector. Is it a referal checking somewhere else within protector that can't be disabled from within a GUI?

Side note. I'm accessing this site through a secure network, through a proxy server. I don't have any access on proxy server so can't make any changes...

Any other installs of xoops I do have that do have Protector installed do have this type of problem. From non-secure networks sites can be accesed without problems.

I do need to get this site working from within this secure site... and need to get protection from internet, therefore Protector module is essential...

Perhaps, session-IP protection harms you.

change "Protected IP bits for the session" in preferences of Protector from 24 to 0.

Gijoe,

Thanks for a quick reply! I feel ashamed as I had completely overlooked this feature That was so simple and I was looking all over the place. Thanks again for a great Protector module.

I faced the same problem. But I didn't use SSL connection like gediminasbyt, so do I have to use the same configuration as him.

It is natural for some environment of ISP.
