Hello,

Will this hack work with the latest version of Xoops? Their site indicates a 2.0.1 release. I am just getting started with Xoops and running 2.0.9.2. I haven't done the hack yet and won't if it doesn't work with the new version as well.

Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I don't understand where I went wrong. But I must have if everyone else is having no problems.

This is a hack and some skills are needed for installing.

Can you login by e-mail & password?

If you can, your trouble can be caused by some wrong useges of templates set.

No ... cannot login using email & password.

No problem logging in with user name & password.

I have installed Reynaldos ShortURLs ... could that be causing a problem? I just had a problem with phpbb 2.02 fixed up with the help of one of the developers of the phpbb. Maybe its causing a problem with the auto-login? Any ideas for a work around?

At least, I've tested Simplified URLs - modified by suin based on Reynaldo's Short URLs, and it works fine with my auto-login hack.

Perhaps, you didnot overwrite core files.

At least, include/cheklogin.php must be original.
Because the feature of e-mail login is enabled just overwriting it.

OK ... I did check all files for Autologin against files on my site ... and for some reason some files were not transferred over. So I did them individually and now all files on the website for Autologin are correct.

I am now getting "Username or e-mail" at the top of the login.

But still no Remember Me box

I just got a problem fixed with phpbb 2.02 caused by Reynaldos ShortURLs. Had to edit 3 lines in the header.php and include
'.XOOPS_URL.'/modules/newbb/
when it was calling different files.

Could I be experiencing the same type of problem now?

I wanted to use SimplifiedURLs .. but all I get is a blank screen. I posted for some support help ... but no one responded. That is when I switched to Reynaldos ShortURLs ... and it works great. But causes other problems obviously :)

P.S. I forgot to update System module after re-copying all the files over. I did it ... and now it works GREAT. Thanks for the assistance.

ShortURLs does not harm autologin hack, I think.
