I'm using MyAlbum 2.75 with GD on and forced GD2 and I can't seem to get the thumbnails to work properly. When I have thumbnails on, it basicaly creates a second copy of my original image. So my thumbnails are only smaller in dimensiional size. Their file size is still the same. This is making for very LONG loading of categories and new listings.

Is there a way to make the thumbnails smaller in file size than my original photos? I go into "Redo Thumbnails" and it tells me it failed to create them so it is just copying them. I don't want that. What can I do?

Perhaps, you've uploaded GIF.

GD can't make GIF images, because of limitaion of Unisys's patent.

Of course, thumnails need not as GIF.
It is good if GIF's thumbnails are JPEG.
Though I know the fact, It needs many time to implement such a feature into myAlbum-P.
