Hello folks (especially GIJ),

something strange appeared:
I make a new agenda item in PiCal 0.8
When I view item logged in as webmaster, everything shows as filled in. When I view as anonymous OR as registered user, the displayed times are 1 hour later.

Time setting in general settings is set as Value of Xoops config.
Cache is off.

I solved it by putting all times 1 hour back, so that I'm the only one with the wrong times...

Is this reprted before?
Did I miss anything?

Thx in advance and greetings,

It looks like a FAQ.
Check the timezone of yourself (as webmaster).

Thx & grtz,

If you are an anonymous user Xoops System allways shows the standard time which is defined in the generall settings of the system. But if you are logged in as a registered user the system will show the times for your defined timezone.

For example: Your Systen runs on GMT and you write an article at 09.00 am. A user from germany (who has GTM+1) is logged in and has a look at the article now will see that it has been posted at 10.00 am because it was 10.00 am in his timezone when the article has been posted.

Every user could define his timezone in his Account and on the chosen option there it depends what times he will see on the page.

At first I was also confused after registering here on this site because it is 8 hours earlier than in my timezone.

at the first time I have this problem too.
but now I am sure this is not pical problem.
this problem happens coz day light saving time (DST).
in my country Indonesia (GMT+7) we dont use DST.
When I post an article or forum inside xoops, the time appeared is +1 hour than my computer clock (running my website on localhost, at my computer).
I dont know how to solve this. coz the PHP looks like enable this DST for this month (May), or maybe I applied wrong setting on my computer?
when I running php script like this:
<?
echo date("H:i:s");
?>
it printed 20:00 (i run this script on 19:00)

I am sure I set the correct time zone on my computer, xoops setting, default setting, and my xoops account.
how to disable DST in my xoops and other xoops modules will follow.

the other problem, when I change clock day border in pical preference to 05:00, the order and the time of pical calendar events was messed up. is this because the above mistake?

Which machine do you run XOOPS with?

If you own the server, set the timezone without DST.
eg) "GMT+7" instead of "Indonesia".

I cannot understand the meaning of "messed up".
Deleted?
Displays wrong time?

Anyway, set it 00:00 to avoid it.
