追伸です。仕様は　xoops cube Package_Legacy_2_1_8.zip
で、xoops_trust_pathも設定しました。
原因が判らず、アンインストール＆インストールを繰り返すも原因究明には至っておりません。

上記の
Notice [PHP]: Only variables should be assigned by reference in file modules/legacy/kernel/Legacy_Controller.class.php line 920

これは、ログアウトしている状態からログインすると、
ようこそ〜の画面の下に一緒に出来ています。
Legacy_Controller.class.php　920行目がおかしいのでしょうか。見てみると
$t_groups =& $this->mRoot->mContext->mXoopsUser->getGroups();
と、表記してありました。
なんとか克服したい次第です。わかる方がいらっしゃいましたら御指導お願いします。
