I am currently using an old version of pical - v0.60, and would like to upgrade to 0.91. Given that 0.60 has dropped off the changelog, and the warning at the top of the download "XSS are found in piCal <= 0.85x. Update piCal >= 0.86 please" I am a bit wary that I may harm my data.
Is it safe to just do a normal upgrade from 0.60 to 0.91. If not, do I need to do an incremental upgrade?

Just overwrite and update in modulesadmin.
If you worry about the action, make a backup of your site (DB and file tree).
